Library Services: Meeting Rooms
Planning a Meeting? The J. Erik Jonsson Central Library can accommodate groups large and small. A wide range of facilities are available for public use at the Central Library. The spaces can accommodate a variety of activities, from large events to small, informal meetings.
The Central Library has rooms that accommodate 5 to 200 including room for small conferences or symposiums. Basic audio/visual equipment is available upon request. Spaces are available anytime the library is open. For pricing and availability of rooms, please contact our Events Services Team at 214-670-7809, or email libcenmeeting@dallas.gov.

Provide an insurance certificate . . .
- For all for-profit organizations
- Nonprofit organizations, if event is open to the general public
- Individual and/or group programs that involve physical activity, are open to the public, involve animals, food preparation and distribution, and health fairs with medical screenings. This includes birthday parties, baby showers and similar events.
Branch Libraries
Each of the branch libraries has meeting spaces. Some have an auditorium or a black box theater space. For information on these facilities, please contact the Branch Library directly or go to our online room reservation system to see the types of rooms that are available.

Study Room Guidelines
Study rooms are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis for a maximum of 2 hours on the day of only. This can be extended if there are no other reservations. If the time is extended, customers will be given 15 minutes to wrap up and vacate the room when someone is waiting.
Customers must follow the Dallas Public Library’s Code of Conduct when using the room.
Customers may use the room up to two times per day. Customers must wait two 2 hours before requesting to use the room the 2nd time.
Reservations may be made in-person or by phone.
