The Texas Children in Nature Network, along with our sponsors, The Texas Department of State Health Services and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, are proud to partner with Dallas Public Library to present the Library Explorer Adventure Pack!

Patrons who take the LEAP backpack with them to either the Cedar Hill State Park or Ray Roberts State Park will receive 2 free adult admissions (13 and up) at the State Park during the 3 week rental period, along with regular free entry for children 12 and under.

Each Library Explorer Adventure Pack (LEAP) includes field guides, books, tools, and equipment related to a specific nature theme. We hope you enjoy the use of the backpacks, please follow the circulation policy below.

Circulation of Backpack Policy

- Only one backpack may be checked out per adult library card.

- Backpacks may be checked out for 3 weeks.

- Backpacks may be renewed only if no one is waiting.

- Backpacks may only be checked out at the specific library branch. They are not part of the inter-library loan system. Please visit other branches for other themed backpacks

- Backpacks may be returned at any Dallas Public Library location.

- Please return the backpacks and all the items in them, clean and dry. Please kindly wipe down any activity sheets.

- Please complete the “Return Survey” upon the return or completion of the use of the Backpack.
